Suiwah Corp Bhd AGM

For the first time I attended a company's AGM. It is the 16th AGM of Suiwah Corporation Berhad held at Pinang Fisherman Wharf, Penang on 30 November 2009. Suiwah Corporation Berhad is well known in Penang for it supermarker and departmental stores operation, i.e. Sunshine Square, Sunshine Farlim Shopping Mall, Sunshine Farlim Wholesale Centre, Suiwah Ayer Itam, Sunshine Jelutong and Sunshine Lip Sin. A new outlet, namely Sunshine City, will be opened in Penang Times Square Birch The Plaza on this coming 5th December 2009.
Not many highlights for the AGM, as the main agenda pass through all the resolution.
However I was excited to see Tun Lim Chong Eu, the former Penang Chief Minister, who is also the Chairman of the company. We were treated to some nice food and were given some cash vouchers. One of the share holders suggested to MD to provide attendants with free Sunshine member's card and door gifts.
